Downloading Rank Logic.
To install Rank Logic on your site, you will need first to download it to your computer. You can download your copy of Rank Logic from multiple sources:
- You can download it immediately after purchase on the Order Confirmation page.
- From the Activation Email that is sent to your purchase email address when the purchase is confirmed.
- And you can download it from the My Account page on ranklogic.com.
When you download Rank Logic, be sure to copy the License Key to your clipboard. You will need the License Key later to activate Rank Logic on your site.
Installing Rank Logic on your site.
Once you have downloaded Rank Logic to your computer, it’s time to upload it to your site. To do this, go to the WordPress Admin and in the Plugins menu item, click the “Add New” link.
At the top of the “Add New” page is an “Upload Plugins” button. Click on it to open the plugin uploading form.
Inside the plugin uploading form, you’ll see a button called “Choose File”, click on it to open a file browsing window. Inside the window, find and select the Rank Logic files that you just downloaded and click the “Open” button.
When you’ve opened the files, click on the “Install Now” button to install the Rank Logic files on your site.
Your site will handle the rest of the file installation. When the installation is complete, click on the “Activate Plugin” button. There are still a few more steps before Rank Logic is fully operational, but we’re getting close.
Activating the Rank Logic License.
Rank Logic isn’t truly active on your site until you’ve entered the License Key. Until the key is entered, it is dormant and waiting to be activated.
To activate Rank Logic, click on the Rank Logic menu item. This will take you to the Rank Logic Licensing page.
Inside the Rank Logic Licensing page is the form for activating the Rank Logic license. To activate your license, copy the License Key from the Activation Email and paste it into the “License Key” input. Then click “Activate License” to activate.
Rank Logic will tell you if the activation was successful or not. If any errors occur during activation, Rank Logic will tell you about them in the “License Message” field.
Once the license is successfully activated, the next step is to go to the Google Search Console tab and authorize Rank Logic to download the Search Console data.
Authorizing Rank Logic to download Search Console data.
When you’ve entered the license, and Rank Logic is activated, you will be shown a popup telling you that Rank Logic is now able to authenticate the Google Search Console connection and begin downloading search data.
Click on the “Let’s Go!” button to go to the Google Search Console tab.
On the Google Search Console tab, you will see a button to “Authorize Rank Logic”, please click this button to begin authorizing Rank Logic to download your site’s Search Console data.
The first page that you’ll see when authorizing will be the account selection page.
Please select the Google account that has Search Console access for the site that you have installed Rank Logic on.
Once you select an account, Google will ask you to confirm that you want to allow Rank Logic to access the account.
To confirm that you want to allow access, please click on the “Continue” button.
When you click the “Confirm” button, Google will communicate some account information to Rank Logic, and give it a set of access tokens so that it can download the Search Console data.
Once the communication is complete, Google will return you to the Rank Logic Settings and you’ll see a notice telling you that the connection is verified!
The final step in setting up Rank Logic is to download the Search Console data.
Downloading Google Search Console Data
To download the Search Console data, please click on the “Download Data” button for either of the “Download Last Days of GSC Data” options.
When you click on one of the buttons, Rank Logic will ask you to confirm that you want to download the Search Console data for the selected number of days.
Clicking “OK” will begin the download.
After you confirm, Rank Logic will begin downloading the Search Console data one day at a time.
This can take a considerable amount of time, quite possibly a number of hours. Don’t close this browser tab during the download. Rank Logic needs this Settings tab to stay open in order to download the keyword data. If you close it, the download will stop.
When the Search Console download is complete, Rank Logic will create a notification popup to let you know that it’s ready to use!
Now you will have access to the full Dashboard and all of the features offered by Rank Logic!
